After the 0-0 draw against Napoli, Inter coach Luciano Spalletti talked to the gathered press in the official post match press conference.

“I am lucky to have these players, I know where I have them. Yes we are good enough to finish top 4, but we have to be aware of the other teams wanting those spots. Now we have to finish in front of teams like AC Milan, Lazio and Roma. Last year we were 30 points from that spot and this year we are winning the scudetto. That is how you create a team to fail. Now we have Sampdoria and Torino. Strong teams that will fight us hard. And from tonight’s performance there is a lot to improve, Napoli were better than us tonight. We had a great game and the result is optimal, but in certain moments they were better than us, there is still some areas where we have to improve and where Napoli were better than us.

There was a tough battle in midfield today, where Napoli dominated. How did you prepare? 

“They have great vertical passes towards their trequartisti that put us in trouble. But in certain moments we were prepared for that because they have such a great team. And also on the wings they were dangerous.”

Are you disappointed not to profit from the fact that Napoli had a tough match in UCL this week?
