After the draw at home against Torino, Inter coach Luciano Spallett shared his thoughts on the match and the result in an interview with Sky Sports starting with the trouble Inter had today to score stating that “Torino are a team on the same level as us, I can not see any difference between the two teams.”
Spalletti continued that “they played according to their game plan and went for the win. We on the other hand made mistakes that we usually do not do and that ended up in this draw. We have a strong team that knows how to react, at the end of the game we could have had a different result. Sometimes you score in those situations, today we didn’t.”
Spalletti was then asked about Inter captain Mauro Icardi’s performance arguing that “he did what he is supposed to do today, helping out the team as much as is needed. He was a bit affected by a kick he got early on in the game, something that threw him off his rythm. But he, as the rest of the team, did what is expected of him.”
In conclusion the Nerazzurri coach was asked to comment on the performances of Eder and Vecino starting with the Brazilian born striker stating that ” Eder is a strong alternative, that is why we renewed his contract. He plays in three roles and when you have a player like him, that comes on able to change a game, it is also important to praise the mentality, because this is very hard to do. Vecino’s shot was interesting, but it ended up hitting the cross-bar.”
Being first time at meazza live, under the wind and rain. Amazing! At least we got a point. But spot on, if team want creativity, put val behind and pair him with vecino. But if just want the ball going on, triangle with gaglia can be useful enough (at least if we don’t want to score goal). And again val is everywhere!
– always use the same team over and over again.
– doesn’t have guts to make substitute until nearly end of the match.
– Start dumbrosio over cancelo, never give dalbert time to adapt and always leave j.mario on the bench.
Wonder why so many interisti praised him..
Why? Because as we can see in the table, in our mentality op play…sometimes we have to keep the winning team…
After all LS is the one who knows the team at the moment, while we were not
