Former Inter midfielder Leonardo Morosini spoke about his time in Inter’s academy between 2003 and 2008.

“I am one of those people who could have stopped playing football. From the youth level moving between Inter and Albinoleffe, I was considered small and immature, I had to show up on many Sundays just to watch my teammates play. On the way home, in the car, I would cry. At Brescia I was reborn and will always thank this club for believing in me. I have to say that my luck has always been to believe in myself.”

The 22 year old midfielder grew up playing with Inter, Albinoleffe and Brescia Primavera’s teams. Morosini began playing with Brescia’s first team in 2014 where he would go on to make 77 appearances, scoring 4 times. He signed with Genoa in January of 2017 and has appeared 4 times so far. Moreover, he was named Serie B footballer of the year for the 2015-16 season.
