Inter Sporting Director, Walter Sabatini found himself in China for the first meeting of the year with the whole Suning team.

Sabatini met Zhang Jindong’s team in Nanjing to discuss the direction of Inter for the coming year. Among the topics discussed was possible additions to the Nerazzurri’s squad, in particular Jiangsu Suning’s Ramires.

The latest update of this situation is that Jiangsu Suning want the sale of Ramires to end up being permanent by means of a loan with obligation to buy. Inter have been hoping to sign him sooner rather than later by pressing the matter harder and harder. Ramires has been very open about a move to Serie A and has expressed his interest in a move to Inter.  It seems as though the ball is in the Brazilian midfielder’s court to make a decision as to when he wants the transfer to go through. Ramires joined the Chinese side this time two years ago from Premier League side Chelsea and has a further two years on his contract with Inter’s cousins.
