Gabriel Barbosa is still in Brazil. He has not returned to Portugal and has no intention of doing so. Benfica refuse to keep him and there is the risk that Gabigol ends up playing for their reserve team. Furthermore, according to FCInterNews, the Portuguese team have given Gabigol free time to stay at home, freeing him for now of contractual obligations and training sessions. Gabriel Barbosa wants to send a message to Inter, in order to speed up the process that might see him return to his boyhood club, Santos. With the Brazilian team also dreaming of their prodigal son returning.
It’s said that Santos have even set aside the number 10 shirt for him, as they all parties eagerly anticipate his return. The Paulista Championship continues with Santos facing Linense, and the Brazilian club had originally hoped he would have arrived by now but Inter have more concerning priorities.
There is also still no agreement between Santos and Inter. The Nerazzurri demand an all expenses paid loan on behalf of the Brazilian giants. Steps have been taken, but none come close to the demands of the Beneamata yet. So Santos must wait for a response. Assuming the response is negative then Gabigol would remain under contract with Benfica until June and his compliance would be forced. In this scenario he would either return to Portugal to make the best of a bad situation or remain a simple tourist at home.

it’s still a mystery that he is good or not. because he never get the real chance at inter. or he just never meet the coach’s expectation. 4 different coaches but he make not more than just 5 or 7 match.
totally agree. when u buy a 30 mill 20y old.. u better work to develop him, not expect a champion, but rather find a way to develop the talent.. if we would have miranda, ramires & Rafinha.. wouldnt it be an idea to bring him back and have him learn attitude and “savoir-faire” from his experienced countrymen.. As these street people tend to emulate quite well..
Sunning look like have big imagination to build the team with high profile young talented player, but failed to grow them at inter. those champion’s player can make his bad attitude changed. I hope so.
it’s unfair for him, remembered when Inter buy Ishak Belfodil and Taider, those low talented players got much more chance than gabigol and J Mario. again, we will never know.
gabi, gabi, you have way too much tatoos on your skin… it affects your brain badly.
it is TRUE that HE HAS NEVER HAD A DECENT CHANCE IN INTER !
he had never been given a chance to play 4-5 matches in a row to prove himself or to show he is a tatooed idiot !
rano had it and we know he is our “new hope” , hehehe …
my dear rano, my dear captain, mr.phoenix !!
Culture shock is real
If you are truly desperate to play for Santos…go play for free or reduce your salary to the level in which Santos can afford,.. But it would be only when Santos must have agreed terms with Inter.
Forza inter!!!
his value is +zero at the moment, but he has no brain to realize it.
Zero skill zero attitudes pure rubbish
This is just hilarious to me. Clearly Inter doesn’t care about him and are just waiting till he come off the books. The issue is his wage, Santos don’t wan’t to pay his +1 million euro salary. If you are so desperate to play in Brazil take a pay cut, otherwise stop crying.
Who cares about gabibust at this point.
Like all said, we bought a wrong Gabriel, unfortunetly
Gabi won’t take pay cut, he needs money to party and entertain Neymar’s sister.
They got the transfer fee selling Gabigol (27M?). They should be able to pay his salary just fine. Why they’re playing games with us is beyond me.
most of that went to Kia and the company that owned his rights.
Still, I don’t buy that they can’t pay 500K for 6-months loan till this summer.
