Only €3 million separate Inter from securing Rafinha as reported by Gazzetta dello Sport. Initially starting from very different positions regarding the figure for the right of redemption, now the two giants are very close to agreeing a deal.
“Inter have offered a free loan with a right of redemption fee of €35 million, without bonuses. The Catalan club reduced their demand to €38 million, with the idea to raise the redemption clause as high as possible, after it became aware to them that Inter would never go as high as €40 million.”
Today there will be a definitive meeting with the Blaugrana management who will more than likely give their final answer to Inter’s offer. Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio left Catalonia to give them some time to consider his offer. In between this, it has also been revealed that Inter will pursue one of Joaquin Correa or Nicolas Gaitan, should Barca refuse the offer.
What the damn hell, 20+ 8 bonouses that would even be more than enough.
Joao Mario 2.0. We never learn. Lucas Torreira would have cost us half.
If there is no obligation to buy it´s not a bad deal. Just dump him back to Barcelona after the loan ends and then try to buy Torreira. The 25 million buy-out clause in Torreira´s contract can be activated during summer, not this January.
They also better put 25 million on the side for DeVrij release clause this summer, cuz I know otherwise we’re gonna end up overpaying for an average DC later during the summer….
Those would be some good deals both of them. But you know Rube´s Marotta will be there sniffing around and the players always choose the team that seems to have a 99% chance of winning the Scudetto every year. Heck, Rube will buy them even if they don´t need them, so that nobody else in Serie A gets stronger.
Btw. it seems Luiz Gustavo wasn´t over the hill after all. At least according to stats he´s been a nice coup for Marseille. Do you think he could have made a difference at this Inter?
Absolutely, he is a roc and very much the boss of the midfield. One of the main reason Marseille is in the run for the the 2nd/3rd place that would qualify for the UCL.
In short, a much better player than Gagliardini for instance. Plus Marseille got him for relatively cheap.
Yeah, he was great already at Bayern, but it was hard to tell if he had become washed up at Wolfsburg. But Wolfsburg played him as a defender last season, which probably explains his bad stats there. Good thing for Marseille and good luck hunting that CL spot.
No way, sampdoria isn’t that stupid.. his cost would be at least 40 mil straight with no loan
We simply dont have the money right now
35, 38 or 40, what’s the difference? hopefully the figures will be tied to his individual performance and fitness.
