Inter’s Sporting Director Piero Ausilio stopped by the gathering media outside of Inter’s headquarters in central Milano to answer questions on the just concluded transfer window.
Ausilio began by talking about the situation concerning Pastore and PSG saying: “There were never any negotiations ongoing for Pastore. We have always been honest and sincere that the basis needed to sign him as not there. Once we understood that we could not sign him on loan with an option to buy we decided to pull back.
“How well we have done on the transfer window can be seen on the pitch. Inter have to be competitive for the Champions League. We have done what we wanted to do. We signed a central defender and we signed a player with a big future ahead of him like Rafinha as well as having shrunk the squad” Ausilio continued.
The Nerazzurri director was asked about the rumors concerning Pinamonti and Brozovic to which he replid: “We never negotiated with anyone for his transfer. He is a very talented player who Spalletti has a lot of confidence in. We negotiated with Sassuolo about Pinamonti but in the end the player decided to stay.”
In conclusion Ausilio spoke about Mauro Icardi: “I am not worried about his injury. I wont comment on his social media posts, I comment on what happens on the pitch. I don’t discuss his travels or posts on social media, there are other things that are important. Now is not the right time to think about extending his contract.”
Now the January transfer market is closed and I must said I was disappointed in the work done by especially Sabatini but also Ausilio. Both acted like children and very naive fools. Why the hell did Saba travel to China in the start of January to try to “convince” Suning into give them some of the money from next summers transfer market NOW, when everyone knows we need to find 60mil euros before the end of June and therefor have to be very careful on the transfer market? Hell, even our own Opia wrote on this site in his articles about the FFP that we could never go that way – and he isn’t the sporting director or co-ordinator of a huge club like Inter (as far as I know).
The obvious answer was no, and that we couldn’t spend this January and not until July for that matter, but still the naive Sabatini traveled all the way to China.
5en Ausilio brought in a reserve defender from the Portuguese league to cover for Skriniar, Miranda and Ranno – a better option I think, would have been to bring a quality player with loads of experience from Serie A like Caceras, who joined Lazio for free this month.
After that transfer Sabatini once again smoked something really strong because he clearly thought he could convince the Chinese club Jiansung into handing over one of their best, most important players and most expensive players to us – for free! So he once again tracked to China and once again received a huge no, from the Chinese club. But still Saba and Ausilio tryed to get him in, which as expected failed.
Then Ausilio managed to bring in Rafinha, someone the fans of Barca loves and they called him a scoop for Inter. Hopefully he will prove them right.
But then the two fools didn’t bring in Deulofeu for free who ended up in Watford!! But wasted too much time on a player that would cost us 10-15 mil should he join us now which of course is way too much especially when Suning one month ago had stated we couldn’t spend this month and need to raise 60mil the end of June… pathetic and naive work by Sabatini and Ausilio, and what have they been doing ever since August until now??? Nothing was thought through and they simply tried to bring in ANYONE at the end of the market!
And now the fans blame Suning…..
I’ve blamed Ausilio for a while personally, but now I blame all of them and the stupid players too. Like you said how can we be so naive or they just bs the fans to keep them occupied..
Every weekend I get excited to see my beloved Inter just to get my day ruined by a bunch of lazy overpaid sorry excuse of footballers pass the ball back and forth sideways to each other for 90 minutes or parking the bus against SPAL..
Actually when I asked from the guy who wrote the FFP article series here on sempreinter about those 40-60 millions that Inter supposedly have to raise by July 1st, he said those were just vague rumors started by Tuttosport and there was no credible source that would confirm this claim.
Anyways, with this current Inter I usually fear the worst these days.
It was around 30 mil last summer and with the summer spending (Dalbert, Vecino) we should be up there. But who knows what Sunning has up its sleeves with sponsorship deals etc.
I hope Rafinha will prove he’s a great playmaker and that him and Borja can co-exist!
Sure, but the fact that it was 30 millions last year doesn´t mean it will be 60 millions this season. Suning has grown the revenues by 100 millions for example. I don´t know the numbers myself, but here is the guys (George Theodokides) answer in citations about that matter:
“Concerning the whole “50 million” deal (or 40, or 60 in other sources) I couldn’t find any official source, no reliable source, nothing explaining why exactly do we need them. I could literally find no evidence that support these claims, just a vague claim from tuttosport that spread. Even the numbers I had in my hands didn’t add up. That’s the whole reason I didn’t include it in any of the articles. Maybe the amortization of Kondogbia counts if you remove funds from continental qualification but if we actually sell him to Valencia and qualify that’s out of the window. As it stands, if the numbers I have in my hands are correct (and there’s no indication that they aren’t) we’ll be on the clear.”
Your right and I don’t know the numbers either, but Sunning is clearly working with a super tight budget and aren’t letting us invest a dime before having it covered by another dime coming in.. Which I really like to by honest. It keeps us from investing shit loads on casual players, but forces us to do our homework thoroughly and even being in the coach for advise, before buying – something Inter has never done before.
Yeap. I didn´t mean to argue too much about that one, but the point was that the need for 60 millions might very well be yellow paper fabrications. Suning gave the directors basically zero budget for this January, but that doesn´t mean there is a 60 million gap in the budget. If it is like that George Theotokides claims and Inter actually are right now in line with FFP I´m a bit disappointed that they couldn´t spare some extra millions to buy Pastore. If it was something like 10 millions they needed to close the deal that money could have been acquired by some player sales during June.
But whatever is the actual situation we will find it out in couple of months when Il Sole 24 Ore and Calcio & Finanza – who have expert journalists on economics unlike Tuttosport – will tell us the real figures that Inter is dealing with concerning the FFP.
Ok, and just couple of hours ago calcio & finanza have analysed that Inter need to raise close to 50 millions for FFP. Looks like our sempre´s George was wrong after all…
Wrong or didn’t have the newest confirmed numbers… Let’s give the Great Greek the benefit of the doubt.
Never trust the Greeks when it comes to finances, the Euro crises has shown that lol. But jokes aside looks like his numbers weren´t correct and we are gonna witness another painful June like last year.
Hehe…
Well, maybe Suning has something up their sleeves as I said otherwise a nice sale of Mario and the cl money could do the trick…
Besides there are many quality players out their with expiring contracts. Badelj, Bernard, De Vreij etc…
Tbh at this point I wouldn´t be too upset if they sold Perisic or Icardi. I´m getting sick seeing the same players fail year after year. Only sale that would be piss me off would be Skriniar.
Agree. Real Madrid and Arsenal have been heavily linked to Icardi, and if they give us Lacazette plus 100mil or Benzema/Kocacic plus 100m, I’d take it and invest in the team- like we did with Zlatan…
Perisic is showing his good but not work class and if a free spending pl team wants him – so sell up
I tried to read that C&F analysis on the missing 50 millions with my less than good Italian language skills. First of all it´s only a projection based on the info Inter has submitted when they were searching capital for the bond and also it´s based on the old numbers of last season. So it´s not completely accurate or anything.
But seems like Inter will be receiving less sponsorship money, something like close to 25 millions from Suning compared to last season, because when they sponsored Pinetina and the training shirts the club got a signing fee which seems to be only on off and not a yearly sponsorship revenue. Then there is no European competition like last year etc.
They will obviously get monetary gains in sponsorship bonuses if they qualify for the CL or EL this year. More interestingly Kondogbia´s probable sale to Valencia will only give the club a capital gain of 8 millions. Must be because Valencia pay in installments or then it´s related to that amortization stuff I don´t quite grasp.
Anyways, Suning might have some tricks up their sleeve (sponsorship etc.) like you said, because C&F doesn´t have the real numbers. Have to wait for a more accurate analysis for a couple of months or so probably..
Very interesting – my Italian is non-exciting, know enough Spanish to be able to order something to eat and stuff like that, but nothing in Italian so it´s nice to hear something like that from a person who has read the source himself.
As I said I completely trust Suning to find a solution and if they chose to case in on Perisic, Brozo and even Icardi so be it – Sabatini will find good enough players to replace them.
Hopefully the translation went about right, because economic language in Italian surely ain´t my cup of tea. Only studied Italian couple of years in the uni, so what I can do is read the transfer rumors, which are really easy to comprehend, because the substance is really light. With this type of texts I have a lot harder time to understand WTF they are writing 😀
I think and hope that Suning can handle the FFP better this time compared to last June. And if JM happens to start performing at West Ham this 50 million thing is about handled with his sale like you already said.
if that’s true i would sell perisic to Man Utd and that will resolve the problem.
ManU just bought Sanchez and Martial is performing much better than last season. I doubt Mourinho wants Perisic anymore.
They would be required to think things through, which for them is impossible. One’s age makes him a liability, the other never had any cunning brain to begin with.
Saba is famous for bringing in the next big thing for peanuts – Ausilio isn’t
Poor inter… a lot of problem we have… i’m not fans of ausilio but without money he can’t bring any player.
Hmm why not? Klaassen woukd have been a nice backup to have ready inicase Pastore wouldn’t come.
Here is the logic: Spal’s Inter playing almost the same 11 every week, it started so nice until the the rest of serie a notice our weaknes and starting to kill us, we lose our CL hope, spal asking for reinforcement and instead we took out 3 players with no decent players in… again this is Inter that we know for almost 8 years…sigh
So Pastore´s agent Simonian was just hanging around at Inter HQ for the last few days because he likes the atmosphere there? You are so full of shite Ausilio, can´t wait to see the number of overpriced mediocre flops you will be signing next summer.
atmosphere in inter is well known, a famous one !
it’s like a spa.
So he’s basically stating He didn’t do his job.
wait…. what? what the fuck did you do whole month?
Hahaha what next? “I am actually never work for inter.” “Suning is actually not the owner of inter, lord nagatomo is.”
Lol

Haha cmon it’s a classic move, like when you get rejected by a girl and you’re like ” I didn’t want her anyway, she’s just a friend”..
lol i don´t get it. I was deffending ausilio because working with 0 € budget is indeed thought, but after 2 months that we read from everywhere that inter negotiates with psg for pastore and things like that, how can you goddamn say Mr. Ausilio, that there werent any negotiations in the end? If there truly werent, so what the fuck did you do whole month? Your job is like exams. You have to do nothing during semester, but when semester ends you need to work your socks out to learn everything. In this case, be active on transfer market and negotiate. Does this man honor his job? I simply cant understand how can he in the end admit that there were no negotiations. I would understand if he said that we tried but things didnt work out, but not this, I am not buying it. And on top of that he says that we need to be honest to ourselves…
There´s no help to this team anymore. Only thing we need to be honest to ourselves is, that we just live from glorious past, we dream about those days, but in the meantime we became midtable mediocre team that just score goals from coincidence and rely on own goals from 18. team in the standings. forza inter forever, but my heart and eyes hurt me every sunday and long after it everytime. hoawk
bitter truth!
I do not really understand the negative posts here. What did you guys want? Inter to loan with obligation 10 X Nagas and keep us fucked by corrupt Platini’s FFP for the next 5 years? It was the players who capitulated against Udinese, Saussuolo – a squad that is supposedly worth 500m or so. Blame Spalletti is you want he picks the team. In previous windows Skrinar or Icardi would have been sold to buy 2/3 useless overhyped players. There are now 5 cool months to work on transfer targets and when we get to the summer we will not have to worry about FFP.
sorry buddy that i need to correct you, but ffp restrictions will be there also in 2018/2019 season for us. so another year of transition after 7 years of mistakes and failures
Then why are everyone saying no FFP come July 2018. Has Platini shafted us more than I thought.
More than agree
you mean, IF WE MAKE IT TO THE CL right?
If they dont make CL then Icardi, Milan and handa are gone in any case. We cannot keep overpaying for mediocre players in order to make the CL. The squad is allegedly worth EUR 400? The one thing we can control is the spending and break even. In my opinion the window may not be that bad – it all depends on how Rafhina does.
Ausilio, please GTFO of Inter. You useless bitch. And don’t forget to bring your fat president.
So upset reading this
He is honest? LOL
Please sack this clown right away..
I dont blame ausilo becoz he doesnt have money to spend. Its suning who must leave inter first
ausilio’s problem i not having no money, but having no brain and spine.
I blame Ausilio for Suning not having the money ! 40 mill for Kondogbia, 45 mill for Joao Mario and we can argue the 30 mill for Gabi-one-Gol but he did nothing to stop that waste of 30 mill ……. that totals 115 million euros and that’s over 20 % of the team net worth on 3 guys that aren’t even on the starting roster so yea Ausilio is to blame ! Had Inter kept Branca maybe he was capable of buying the next Coutinho for 4 million euros !!!
3 out, 2 in – what a great way to strengthen the squad! Absolutely useless- Europa league here we come…. if we’re lucky!
Sempreinter is just another comersial Inter website or actually gives out real news because it’s like over 2 months now that they post something new everyday about Pastore negotiating this negotiating that and in the end it turns out they never really negotiated !!! Are we falling football or we falling politics wtf is happening
so there is no ongoing tranfer discussion with pastore, not with brozo and pinamonti, so wtf did you do?
we succeed shrunk the squad?we got rafinha and lisandro lopez and let go jm and yuto how is the squad shrunk??
He was relaxing in the Alps during the entire transfer window.
Pastore was no way an answer to our problems, so it’s ok for me that we didn’t get him.
However, we sorely needed a winger which we didn’t get, I hope Rafinha (who has exceptional footballing IQ) be able to fill that gap cause I can’t stand watching Crossdreva.
I doubt they will play him on the wing, hes mostly a mid, we need two new wingers as candreva and perisic have both been very poor
I know he’s a better CM than winger, but at least he’s better than Candreva
he lives and from time to time is coming to inter (usually on transfer window time) from …
parallel reality.
Stfu clown! You’re useless
ausilio: “Inter have to be competitive for the Champions League.
We have done what we wanted to do.”
—- LOL , ahahaha …
Spalletti needs to turn the team around them an secure top4 they better star working on the players for the next transfer!!!
is there a huge gap between NEEDS and “is capable of” ?!?
I wish I was totally wrong.
