A flash recovery means Mauro Icardi is not excluded from Inter’s next game as Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport reports in today’s paper: “Maurito’s condition improves quickly, the problem with his adductors is not serious and he is pushing to be ready for tomorrow evening against Crotone, but it’s unlikely the medical staff will let him play, given the risk and his importance in the race for Champions League. Therefore, they will almost certainly start with Eder, supported by Candreva and Perisic on the wings and Borja Valero behind, who could be replaced by Rafinha in the second half for 30 minutes.”

Probable lineup (4-2-3-1): Handanovic; Cancelo, Skriniar, Miranda, D’Ambrosio; Gagliardini, Vecino; Candreva, Borja Valero, Perisic; Eder.

Andrea Pinamonti will be hoping he can still persuade Spalletti to start him over Eder but it’s best to set expectations low and hope for a substitute appearance later in the game as Eder’s age begins to wear on him.
