The President of Racing de Avallaneda wanted to set a new record with the transfer of Lautaro Martinez to Inter and he did.
The agreement between the two parties is believed to be 33 million dollars, as Blanco himself revealed. This is the highest transfer sum for a player from an Argentine club.
The previous record belonged to Independent, when in 2006 they sold Sergio Aguero to Atletico Madrid for 28 million dollars.
Inter spent a similar figure on the Brazilian sensation Gabriel Barbosa (Gabigol) two Summers ago, after his impeccable goal record at Santos was backed up during the Olympics when he and his Brazil teammates won a gold medal. The Nerazzurri will be hoping that Lautaro Martinez will have a more instant impact this time, while Gabigol has recently returned to Santos on loan to rediscover his form. With the two of them set to arrive in Milan during the Summer, Inter fans could be treated with watching them play together, not to mention Mauro Icardi.
looks like icardi is ready to go.
Guys with Icardi we’ve had Palacio, Osvaldo, Podolski, Eder, Gabigol… but why didn’t any of them do good? It’s no coincidence that 5 strikers don’t play good for your team… it’s ONLY because no striker can play with ICARDI. Yes, Icardi scores 20 goals a season but we haven’t won ONE thing with him!!! Gabi is not a flop, he’s a striker but in Inter he never got a chance and when he did he played on the wings!! Icardi will never ever be my captain after he insulted my inter brothers.
make sense
gabigol has scored his first goal for santos at this moment …
Eh 28 mil dollars isn’t the same as 30-35 mil euros!
Let’s hope Martinez is the real thing and not another Gabi-flop
Ffs skip this 1 whole season on the bench for “needs to adapt” thing, and start him as soon as getting him.
Don’t rot his talent and confidence on the bench !
Well.. at least this time no Kia involvement in the purchase
Hope to see gabi recover his form at santos #hope not like Coutinho and Kovacic.
Want to see young talented talent improve at Inter
Anyone knows how is gabi performing so far in Brazil?
Ive been keeping an eye on him, he hasnt played yet, probably since he hasnt played a game all year really they just wanted to build up his fitness. i know santos has a game in an hour hopefully he plays
He got a goal in his first game back
He plays today so hopefully he does good
