Two days before the Serie A match between Genoa and Inter at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris scheduled on Saturday evening at 20.45 CET, which will be the first game of the 25th matchday of Serie A, Andrea Ranocchia is in the run-off with Lisandro Lopez to replace the injured Joao Miranda to play alongside Milan Skriniar.

However, unlike what happened in the second half of the match last weekend in the 2-1 win against Bologna, Luciano Spalletti will most likely prefer the Italian defender to the former Benfica man according to a report by Italian media outlet Sky Sport Italia.

Luciano Spalletti decided to allow Lisandro Lopez to make his Inter debut when coming on as a substitute against Bologna when Joao Miranda picked up an injury and was unable to play more than a half. Lisandro Lopez and Andrea Ranocchia will now battle for the remaining starting position at center back but according to Sky Sport Italia the former Genoa man is looking more likely to be picked.
