Inter maintain their interest in Bologna’s Simeone Verdi as the Summer market approaches. After the last minute collapse that would have seen Verdi go to Naploli in January, it is likely that Aurelio De Laurentiis would have cooled his interest in the player, which could open the gates for a move to Inter, who had also enquired about the player but were bound by Financial Fair Play rules in January.

However, the Nerazzurri are reportedly still after the player and could make an official move during the Summer.

Simeone Verdi’s addition would make the position of right-winger extremely competitive, with the likes of Antonio Candreva and Yann Karamoh already at the club. It’s unlikely Karamoh would be sold so early after buying him, especially considering his young age and high potential, despite recent interest from Chelsea and Barcelona.

Therefore he would most likely be a replacement for the ageing Candreva, who turned 31 yesterday.
