The performances of Joao Cancelo can not go unnoticed and it is clear how his attacking prowess has helped awaken Inter after about three months of apathy.

“The Portuguese arrived on loan from Valencia, with an option to buy of €35 million, a high figure, but Inter would only lose 10 million, if Valencia redeemed Geoffrey Kondogbia for €25 million. Therefore, the problem, is related to the final budget of June 30th,  in which Inter must break-even, with around €30-40 million more needed. However, the redemption clauses must be triggered by May 31st, this is something Inter simply cannot afford to do,” Tuttosport report.

In short, the redemption of Joao Cancelo is very complicated but it would be a shame to let such a player go given his recent form and potential ability in years to come. The 23-year-old initially struggled to break in to the team when he joined and was further set back by an injury soon after but he has played in all of the last 14 games in all competitions.
