Inter’s Italian central defender Andrea Ranocchia was interviewed by Premium Sport about his thoughts going i nto tonight’s Serie A clash at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district when the Nerazzurri host Cagliari.

The former Sampdoria and Genoa defender underlined the importance of the match stating that: “We have to absolutely win, tonight only one result counts just as in the other matches. There is no other choice than to take home all points.

“In these past few matches we have given great performances but all we have been lacking is the goal, this is not a problem. If we continue giving the performances we have given we will go home with all the points” Ranocchia continued.

In conclusion he was asked about how he feels about playing with a three-man defence versus a four-man defence stating that: “it makes no difference, if we are there mentally and give everything we have and are a bit cynical, then we will achieve our objectives. We are a team with important values and we know where we want to end up.”
