Lazio President Claudio Lotito has accused Inter of lacking respect in the way they went about agreeing a pre-contract agreement with Stefan de Vrij.

“We knew that de Vrij had a deal with Inter, but we had faith in the professionalism of the player. It is just fate that he made those mistakes. Inter, with a little grace and respect could have avoided putting the player in a difficult psychological situation. If the contract had been agreed in January, then why announce that you had deposited it just before the game?”

The Dutchman, who will depart Lazio at the end of next month, has come out and admitted he has agreed to a five year deal with the Nerazzurri but as things currently stand, there has been no official confirmation of the move from the club themselves in terms of an official statement but members of the management team have confirmed the move on many occasions.
