Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport reports on the market strategy of the Nerazzurri and begins to look deeper into who will fill the void on the right hand side in defence now that Joao Cancelo is all but a lost cause.

According to the report “Offers should be made for all players but it’s important to assess your priorities and then plan for the future, as is Inter’s priority to complete the midfield, but then Spalletti will want a replacement for Cancelo.”

Gazzetta explains that the reason for the agent Alessandro Lucci’s meeting with Inter is heavily linked to Davide Zappacosta who will most likely leave Chelsea after just one season. Inter will need to spend €20 million to bring him back to Italy, something Chelsea have informed them of but they are not ruling out the possibility of a loan deal with a right of redemption.

There is also Barcelona’s Aleix Vidal, whose agent was in Milaon yesterday, as Ausilio holds his name in high regard thinking he will fit Inter very well according to the report.

However, Inter are waiting for the right moment to open talks with Barca.
