Inter are having themselves an extraordinary mercato so far, having secured most of their targets well before their pre-season retreat, all while respecting Financial Fair Play. However, work for Ausilio and his team is still not over. Spalletti is still missing a right-back, central midfielder and another winger. As for the position of right-back, the Nerazurri have made a list of prioritised names to target, Gazzetta dello Sport today report.

The players on the list are Sime Vrsaljko, Davide Zappacosta, Aleix Vidal, Matteo Darmian and Alessandro Florenzi.

Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio has asked Atletico Madrid about the possibility of a loan with option to buy for Vrsaljko but Atletico refused and are asking for €20 million. Inter have also enquired about loaning Aleix Vidal of Barcelona. Vidal failed to make an impact with the Blaugrana and it’s for this reason that they are willing to let him go for €15 million. Davide Zappacosta is also on Chelsea’s transfer list, following the departure of manager Antonio Conte who brought him to the club. Chelsea spent €30 million on the former Torino player and are wanting to minimise their losses. Inter have been seen speaking to his agent, Alessandro Lucci, several times but it’s still not known how much of their conversations included Zappacosta. Lucci is also the agent of Alessandro Florenzi, as Inter lurk in the background of his negotiations with Roma for a renewal, with both parties still far from an agreement. Finally, Matteo Darmian has decided he wants to return to Italy and Manchester United want to sell him for €20 million.
