German club Stuttgart have moved in ahead of Inter in the race to sign Nico Gonzalez by making an official offer to Argentinos Juniors according to a report from Sky Sport Itali’s transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio.

Inter have been thinking about the young forward for quite some time and have planned to complete a deal in synergy with fellow Serie A side Cagliari but no offical offer has been lodged. Both clubs intended to wait until early next week before deciding what to do but they could now be forced in to making a move so to now not miss out on signing the Argentine starlet.

The 20-year-old striker, who scored 7 goals in 25 appearances last season, has welcomed the interest from the Nerazzurri in the past week and claimed it has been a childhood dream of his to pull on the Inter jersey, something he says gives him goosebumps when he thinks about it.
