Despite the rumors gaining traction to the contrary, Real Madrid manager Julen Lopetegui is adamant that the La Liga giants will not lose either Luka Modric or Mateo Kovacic Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo report.
According to the report, Lopetegui believes the Croatian duo are happy at Real Madrid when asked during a press conference, stating that: “They are both very happy at Real. I have no doubt whatsoever regarding the fact that Modric will continue to play marvelously with us as he has always done.
“You speak to me about problems with Kovacic, but I know nothing about any of this. Mateo is training regularly with his teammates and there are no problems with him whatsoever. He is a player I particularly like and I am very happy to have him in the team” Lopetegui concluded.
Yesterday reports emerged in Spanish media claiming that Mateo Kovacic was at war with Real Madrid demanding a transfer away from the club.
