In an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport, Claudio Ranieri took the time to speak about Inter and there stunted start to the new season.

“It seems to me as if Inter are still facing the same problems which held them back last season. It’s up to Spalletti to find the solution. The first half against Torino was great but then it all changed. The environment is the same within every big club, but Inter must wait, this is natural”.

Ranieri, who is a former manager of the Nerazzurri, then spoke on the impact of missing out on Luka Modric.

“Modric would of certainly made a big difference. I do not know the details of the operation, but I have the impression that focusing for such a long time on player, excluded the possibility of signing an alternative”.

He concluded the interview by discussing whether he believes Spalletti is already under pressure.

“Unfortunately, this is always the case in Italy, the problem is that we aren’t given enough time, even in England they are becoming more impatient”.
