He arrived in 2014 to Inter at the behest of Erik Thohir, who was the then majority shareholder of the club but as Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport confirm today: “however, since yesterday Micheal Williamson is no longer part of Inter management, after agreeing to the mutual termination of his contract.”

Williamson was the Chief Strategic Officer of the company that is now in the hands of the Suning Group. During his time with Inter, he had a very active career, as he dealt with the stadium theme, the restructuring of San Siro and took was in the area research for the new training centre, as well as a hand in the successful negotiations for the Piazza d’Armi area.

There will be no substitution for Williamson’s role in the companies organisational hierarchy, as his duties will be inherited by Alessandro Antonello who will now continue with the talks regarding the renovation of San Siro.

At the end of July, an agreement was reached with the local government and Milan for a work plan worth around €15 million euros. Additionally, there is a search for a new area to base a huge sports centre. Some areas are already under observation and there is optimism that it can be done. The primary objective is to bring all of Inters youth categories together in one place.
