Both Mauro Icardi and Lautaro Martinez were out of yesterday’s game against Bologna but in accordance with the regulations both of them will join the Argentinian national team for the upcoming international break as they have both been called up.

Milan based newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport tries to shed some light over what happened yesterday and what will happen over the coming days in today’s paper: “Icardi did not play in yesterday’s game against Bologna due to a pain felt in the quadriceps in his right leg, something that occurred during the last practice session on Saturday at Appiano Gentile.

“At Stadio Renato Dall’Ara Maurito tried to warm up but ended up in the stands. The Inter medical staff immediately contacted their colleagues in the Argentinian national team and it is possible that Icardi, after some medical checkups, will return to Milano, skipping the friendly games against Guatemala and Colombia. Another thing with Icardi’s teammate Lautaro Martinez, who experienced pain in his left calf. To sum his situation up, he will remain with the La Seleccion and will probably play at least one of the friendlies.”
