Former Inter striker Giampaolo Pazzini spoke on his arrival at Inter back in the January of 2011 in an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport as well as revealing he came close to signing for Juventus many times.

“I arrived in the team when they were world champions, there was a crazy mentality, like Juventus have today. Both before and after Inter I was close to Juventus,” the 34-year-old striker, currently plying his trade with Hellas Verona, told the Milan based newspaper.

With him at the twilight stage of his career, he was asked to reflect upon his 15 year senior career and if he had any regrets.

“I would say no as I played in big teams and in the Champions League and I coreds more than 100 goals in Serie A but I have just one regret. I was left out of Euro 2012 squad after playing in all the qualifiers as a starter and I learnt of my exclusion from the papers and not from Prandelli.”
