SPAL midfielder, Mattia Valoti, spoke with Tuttomercatoweb about his sides latest defeat to Sampdoria and what he expected from their next game against Inter.

Valoti detailed his thoughts about the match against Sampdoria stating that “We didn’t take it too well. We went ahead but then the goal that we conceded shortly after was a big blow. They had some chances but apart from the goals, they didn’t cause us too many problems.

“They came out with more intensity at the start of the second half, while we were maybe a bit too defensive. Although, I think a draw would of been a fair result. I almost got through the door after Petagna helped create a chance but I couldn’t finish it. Now, we look forward to Inter and hope to score points” Valoti continued.

The Ferrara based team started the season extremely well but they’ve recently returned to the form that they were expected to show throughout most of the season, while Inter have won their last 3 league games and won’t be expecting to drop anymore points than they already have, especially with such a difficult run of fixtures on the way.
