Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport reports in today’s paper what happened between Juventus and CEO Beppe Marotta.

According to the report: “The way the story between Beppe Marotta and Juventus ended after 8 1/2 years was bitter, so bitter that the former executive did not attend last night’s Champions League game against Young Boys.”

Tuttosport then continues reporting about the possibility of Marotta taking up a role with bitter rivals Inter: “Stven Zhang immediately asked for a meeting with Marotta, taking advantage of the fact that he was in Milano for the Lega Calcio meeting. At the end of the meeting he expressed his enthusiasm and confided to his colleagues that Marotta could be the piece that is missing, a piece that could take Inter to the top of the European football.”

“But Inter is not the only one going after Marotta. He has been proposed as the new head of Italian football as well as a consultant to the process of reforming the Italian championship. Very soon we will see a formal agreement of how Juventus and Marotta will part ways – besides his executive position that will come to a natural ending on October 25th, he has a contract as General Manager without an ending clause. His lawyers have already met with the club and an agreement is expected shortly. Nobody is after any money, instead it is in everybody’s interest to terminate the relationship” Tuttosport concludes.
