Most of Italian media has, since yesterday, reported of Beppe Marotta’s possible move to Inter. In today’s paper edition of the newspaper, Rome based Corriere dello Sport goes into detail listing the reasons behind the surprising move.

According to the report: “Inter need a guy like him, for at least three reasons.

a) Marotta takes care of the organizational phase with the help of an already tested manager.

b) the turnover will increase, something that is a logical consequence of the investments done so far, but something that should continue.

c) Marotta could have his “revenge” and he could do that in a big club that is also the one of the biggest rivals to Juventus.

But Juventus could ask for a pact, stopping Marotta to go to war against the club. Something that is far fetched but would follow the pact regarding what players that can be signed and it what way they are being recruited. Should there be a friendly parting, Juventus could at the most ask Marotta not to take the first bus to Milano. Yet, there is no evidence of a meeting between Zhang and Marotta, but there have been contacts. His current salary is about €3 million.”
