There were certainly aspects of Borja Valero’s performance last night that left a lot to be desired but one thing that certainly could not be faulted was his passing.
The veteran Spanish midfielder completed an astonishing 41 of 41 passes played during the 2-1 victory over SPAL at the Stadio Paolo Mazza.
Valero drew high praise from manager Luciano Spalletti post-match and has shown he still has it despite edging the twilight years of his career.
