Jonathan Biabiany: “I Can Only Speak Well Of Inter, Thank You Inter”

Former Inter winger Jonathan Biabiany has revealed his reasoning behind making a return to Parma for a third spell in an interview with gianlucadimarzio.com, the website of renowned transfer market guru Gianluca Di Marzio.

“I am very happy with this third adventure in Parma. I like the city and and that’s why I chose the. Sfter the experience abroad that did not go well, especially on a personal level rather than a footballing level, I received several proposals but I wanted Parma just because in the past I had found myself very well here.”

Biabiany had well-documented heart problems and also spoke on this during the interview.

“When I discovered the heart problem I was at the highest point of my career, it was a setback and the first goal was to get back to health and then back on the field. After I went to America to do the last test I had the green light from doctors. It is now four years and I almost forgot about that moment now. From the very first invasive visit, the result was positive and I never thought I had to stop entirely.”

The Frenchman then spoke on his multiple spells at Inter.

“I can only speak well of Inter. I grew up there, I took my first steps as a professional and I won my first trophies there. After the heart problem they reopened the doors to me. I only have good memories related to the team and with teammates, I can only thank and nothing else. I still have contact with people at the club and players, I have a good relationship with them and it’s nice to feel that way.”

Biabiany then spoke on former teammate and friend Philippe Coutinho and Geoffrey Kondogbia.

“When Coutinho arrived he impressed everyone, he only lacked physicality because he was only 17 years old but it was clear that he had great talent back then.

“Kondogbia had been very criticised in Italy, but sometimes it is difficult to arrive in a new league and immediately demonstrate your skills. Had he been given time, I am convinced that he would have been a great player at the club but now he has found continuity in Valencia and he is doing very well for himself.”
