Inter’s mental strength is their biggest asset Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport suggest in today’s paper edition going beyond the mere technical-tactical aspect in order to find the reason to Inter’s recent success after a shaky start to the 2018/2019 season.

According to the report: “Inter’s strength at the moment lays above all in their heads, because the team has finally found self-esteem and conviction after six successful runs. Now Inter is a mature team that know what it wants and a certain upgrade to the 2017/2018 version.”

The newspaper continues underlining that: “Inter are now much more varied in how they play and in the way the team creates chances to finish, while the defense who despite conceding a few more goals than 12 months ago is still reliable. The area where there is room for improvement lay in the team’s physical condition. Above all from Ivan Perisic, whom Inter want more and better crosses from, and Sime Vrsaljko, who needs to deliver better quality and better crosses.”

In conclusion Corriere believe that “another thing that Spalletti has to work on is the decisiveness in front of the goal, Inter is not as dangerous as the team was before and does not score as much. Maybe this will improve now that Icardi is back, but a higher scoring percentage would not hurt.”
