The physical status of Inter’s Uruguayan international midfielder Matias Vecino has been under a cloud of doubt after the injury he sustained during the international break.

In today’s paper edition of the newspaper Milano based Gazzetta dello Sport clarifies the status of the Nerazzurri midfielder reporting that: “Medical tests were enough to clarify the injury Matias Vecino suffered on Tuesday in Japan when he played for Uruguay during the international break. No instrumental examinations were needed since the injury was not a lesion but only fatigue.”

The Gazzetta continues stating that: “Inter coach Luciano Spalletti can therefore relax a bit, knowing how important Vecino is for the number of important games ahead of Inter in this period. This also means that Vecino is available for the game against AC Milan, but this does not mean that he will start the game. Roberto Gagliardini is in excellent form and since he will not be available for Inter’s Champions League game against Barcelona on Wednesday night as he is not in the Champions League squad list, he has a slight advantage starting the derby.”

According to the report there is the usual duel between D’Ambrosio and Vrsaljko for the right full-back role, whilst Politano is the favorite for the right wing position in the trident behind Icardi ahead of Candreva.

Gazzetta dello Sport’s predicted line-up for Inter vs AC Milan:

Inter (4-2-3-1): Handanovic; D’Ambrosio, De Vrij, Skriniar, Asamoah; Gagliardini, Brozovic; Politano, Nainggolan, Perisic; Icardi.
