“This victory makes us understand that we have to continue like this. We started this streak before the break and we know we can do well against every team we face and we will continue to try. We have to follow the example set by Juventus. A team that has continuity, something that we have missed during the last couple of years” Icardi continued.

The former Barcelona striker was thena sked about the Champions League clash this coming Wednesday against his former side to which he replied: “I am sorry to hear that Messi will not play on Wednesday, it is always nice to play against the best players, but of course this will give us an advantage.”

Then Icardi talked about his contract renewal negotiations with the club: “We will talk about it later, we have to confront ourselves, then as soon we find the right agreement everybody will sign.”

In conclusion Icardi spoke about Steven Zhang who will be chosen to be Inter’s next President this coming Friday: “I sent him a text message with my compliments.”
