Radja Nainggolan had a short derby experience against city rivals AC Milan in the 9th round of Serie A due to a brutal tackle from Lucas Biglia which forced the Ninja to exit the field and remain on the sidelines for the two subsequent games.

A report from Turin based newspaper Tuttosport however suggests that there could be a chance that he could return to action this Saturday as Inter take on Genoa – even if only as a substitute but a starting place in Luciano Spalletti’s side cannot yet be ruled out.

The Belgian was following a recovery programme yesterday and done the same today while adding in some running. The whole Inter world anxiously awaits to see how Nainggolan’s injured left ankle reacts.

The report also reveals that due to his very high threshold of pain, he wanted to play in last night’s 3-0 triumph over Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico.
