With Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta’s departure from Juventus now officially confirmed, this has lead to a speed up in talks with Inter, who he has been heavily linked with lately according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Zhang family do not intend to use Marotta as a replacement for any of the current staff, considering that this was a completely unexpected turn of events. It’s just been over a month since Marotta revealed he would be leaving the company in a post-match interview after Juve-Napoli.

Meanwhile, Juve is fortifying it’s new hierarchy, which includes Pavel Nedved and Fabio Paratici in bigger roles, alongside Andrea Agnelli. Additionally, Giorgio Ricci and Marco Re takeover in the commercial and financial sector, respectively. These changes come with Juve’s new ambitions to expand into the global market. The purchase of Cristiano Ronaldo was the catalyst for this evolution.

On the other hand, Marotta’s future is looking increasingly tied to Juve’s arch-rivals, as Inter’s new President, Steven Zhang has big ambitions of his own. The talks have been going on for a few weeks now and all parties are for the move being finalised.
