Luis Suarez has recently urged Barcelona to begin looking for his replacement with him set to become 32-year-old in the next three months.

“I am 31 years old and it is time for the club to start looking for a new number 9,” the Uruguayan told Mundo Deportivo who have now since looked at potential replacements for him at the Nou Camp, where he has played since a 2014 move from Liverpool.

Inter club captain Mauro Icardi is their first suggestion; “Icardi is impressive due to his skills of scoring goals but does not have the entire spectrum of a typical Barcelona player.”

It is further understood that Inter’s Lautaro Martinez is also under consideration by the Blaugrana. However, the report goes on to state that Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde wants Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane but his €200 million price-tag makes a move difficult. In addition to Kane, RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner and Ajax’s Kasper Dolberg are options.
