Another solid performance from Inter, who outplayed Genoa with 5-0 at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in front of 70 000 spectators. Very positive news of course for Inter coach Luciano Spalletti who analyzed the game like this  to Sky Sport: “It is always important to reconfirm the status of the squad and to start each game from zero with full focus, to enter the game with the right impact and to score satisfying goals. We played high and managed to escape when we had to: we were rewarded.”

What are you most pleased about, the league standings, goals scored or the defense?

“To see these 70 000 fans at the stadium, applauding and being happy. They have always come to the stadium, even last year giving us confidence. Obviously they love these colors and we have to deserve everything.”

Today the team managed the ball in an optimal way which facilitated by the improvement of the movements made?

“That is a correct analysis. People say that football is always the same, but it is not like that. The fundamental thing is  to safely keep possession of the ball and raises the question of how to approach the opponent tactically, makes our defensive work easier and improves the quality. It becomes a team game with every one being available and improving the individual performance. Then you get the results by scoring great goals.”

A goal from Nainggolan today, without him you have been creating chances instead of complaining about his absence?

“Inside each and every player there is a seriousness. Look at Gagliardini for example, who was feeling bad for not playing against Lazio and not being selected for the Champions League list, but he has a serious attitude and that makes everything much easier for me. During practice and today we have seen everything, from this seriousness to being a professional. Joao Mario might be the most obvious example, but also Dalbert had a great game today and that makes me particularly happy since he plays with a lot of pressure which makes him fail doing things he should easily manage.”

Are you excited to play against Barcelona now?

“Yes, that is true, and we have actually learned from the first leg against the Catalans, who managed to avoid all of our attempts to get back in the game. A bit like we did today against Genoa. “
