In today’s paper edition of the newspaper, Milano based media outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, emphasizes the strength of Inter’s defense and the numbers to prove that thesis.
According to the report: “Skriniar, De Vrij and Miranda are three killers that are very skilled with their feet. They have conceded 6 goals spread out over the 11 league games played so far. A number that is impressive, especially when put in context. This has previously only happened 10 times in Inter history, and it becomes even more impressive when compared to other teams in the top 5 European leagues where only Manchester City 4 goals conceded and Liverpool 5 goals conceded are better and right now it is hard to score goals against Inter something that complicates things for Inter’s opponents.”
The Gazzetta continues “The 7 clean sheets out of 19 games played across all competitions is something other than coincidence as De Vrij, Skriniar and Miranda, form a defense that is of a high Champions League level, and tonight there will be another challenge against Suarez with friends.”
In conclusion the paper reports that: “Pay extra attention to Skriniar, a player that is much liked by the Catalan leadership who already has tried to sign the Slovak, but with Inter Sporting Director Piero Ausilio raising a wall.
