There is a lot of expectations tonight in the Champions League group stage clash between Inter and Spanish side Barcelona at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district.

Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport reports in today’s paper edition of the newspaper: “The impressive games against Lazio in Rome and the five goals against Genoa has boosted Inter’s confidence in getting revenge tonight for the 0-2 defeat at Camp Noù. One reason for that is that the game in Barcelona is the only loss in a series of good performances, and that loss served as a lesson in football since the goals of Barcelona easily could have been more.”

“Tonight a win against Barcelona at the same time as Tottenham and PSV draw would take Inter to the knock-out stage of the Champions League, one point would manage the gap down to Tottenham. But Inter’s pride warrants more than a draw, it wants to narrow the gap that was wide open at Camp Noù and to prove not being too much behind Barcelona. This will affect Inter’s gameplan tonight where Spalletti want to take back what he lost in Barcelona during the last game” the Gazzetta conclude.
