Inter are the favorites to land the signature of Manchester United’s young French winger Anthony Martial, whose contract with the Red Devils expires in June 2019, Turin based newspaper Tuttosport reports.

According to the report, Martial who is still in talks with Manchester United over a contract renewal, Inter have the upper hand because: “The first reason is that when Inter and Man United negotiated about Perisic, Inter brought up the idea of including Martial in the deal together with a lot of money. This is a testimony of how much of a favorite player Martial is for Piero Ausilio. The second reason is that Inter needs to find an alternative on the wing, since unless some kind of miracle explosion happens, Inter will hardly redeem Keita Balde from Monaco for €34 million.”

However, Tuttosport also reports that aside from Martial Inter are continuing to outline the other players that they are pursuing or monitoring. There is Eduardo Salvio who has an expiring contract with Benfica, Hector Herrera of Porto and Rodrigo de Paul of Udinese who just renewed his contract and last but not least Fiorentina’s Federico Chiesa.
