According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter’s short term goals are renewing contracts and securing young talent. Joao Miranda, Borja Valero, Andrea Ranocchia and Antonio Candreva could all leave at the end of the season to free-up space.

Inter’s scouts are keeping a close eye on their loanees, primarily, Ionut Radu at Genoa, Alessandro Bastoni and Federico Dimarco (currently injured) at Parma, Xian Emmers at Cremonese and finally, Andrea Pinamonti who has scored two goals in his last two games for Frosinone. Some of these players could return to Inter, but in the case of Pinamonti, he would have to accept the lack of playing time, as even Lautaro Martinez is not getting enough, despite being the only true alternative to Mauro Icardi.

The Nerazzurri have also prepared a list of young players they could get for cheap, including the 22-year-old, Joachim Andersen, the Danish centre back at Sampdoria and Manuel Lazzari, the 24-year-old right back at Spal, who has recently caught the eye of Mancini for the Italian National team.

More notably, Inter are also monitoring the contract situation of Antony Martial. The 22-year-old’s contract expires with the Red Devils at the end of the season.

“Although, the Glazer company has the option to extend the players contract by a year if they desire to, but so far this has not happened and come January, the Frenchman will be able to freely negotiate with other clubs for a move in the Summer,” the Milan newspaper detail.

Mourinho has begun using him regularly again and he earned a call-up from Deschamps for the French National team, after losing out on the glory of France’s World Cup win. All things considered, getting him for free is not going to be an easy task. Alternatively, Inter could still try court him, even if he is still under contract, should a lucrative offer for Ivan Perisic arrive.

Speaking of expiring players, Matteo Darmian is still a potential target for Inter, as he also has an expiring contract come the end of this season. Additionally, the agent of Benfica’s, Eduardo Salvio, was present at Inter’s offices yesterday to discuss the possibility of signing him a pre-contract in January for the Summer as well, but unlike Martial, the Argentine attacker doesn’t have the same appeal.
