The goal of the Inter’s owners Suning is to tear off the Scudetto shield from the jerseys of Juventus and they are relying on Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta, the ex-Juventus director, who led them to their recent victories, to overthrow them Turin based newspaper Tuttosport states.

It is in the midfield where Inter wants to make the biggest improvement. They want a player with a “footballing brain” and one that can combine running with goals. The first targets are Luka Modric and Adrien Rabiot while there is also Sandro Tonali. The second tier midfield targets are Hector Herrera of Porto and the usual suspect Nicolo Barella.

Inter also want to add to their wings due to Keita Balde and Antonio Candreva underperoming this campaign. The dream is to sign Federico Chiesa while Manchester United’s Anthony Martial and PSV’s Hirving Lozano are back-up options.

There is also a desire to tweak the defence where there are two roads that could be taken. The young route could see them sign Joachim Andersen (Sampdoria), Gianluca Mancini (Atalanta) and a possible return for Alessandro Bastoni. The second route concerns going for a more experienced head where there is Diego Godin (Atletico Madrid) or Jan Verthongen (Tottenham). When it comes to a vice-Handanovic Inter are considering Alessio Cragno and Andrei Radu.
