Fresh from winning the Brazilian Serie A title, an emotional former Inter midfielder Felipe Melo shared his thoughts and feelings on the title triumph and even mentioned the Nerazzurri,
“This group has made history at a club like Palmeiras and I am very emotional because I think it was an unforgettable year for us,” he said in an interview with Fox Sports.
“This comes at an important time, it is the hardest in the world and I am excited because I have dreamed about it, I left a lot when I left Inter: I earn a lot less but I was always calm because I wanted to become an idol at Palmeiras and wanted win something important.”
The Brazilian joined his current employers back in the summer of 2017 from Inter where he had spent two years following a transfer from Turkish giants Galatasaray. The 35-year-old played 28 league games this season, scoring twice and assisting once.
