Inter will play one of the most important games in a very long time tomorrow night in the penultimate group stage match in the Champions League will take place in London’s Wembley, against English Premier League side Tottenham.

However, there is a problem with Wembley’s pitch, something that Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport reports on in today’s paper edition of the newspaper stating that: “The Wembley pitch has been reduced to an awful state, but despite the remarks and disappointment from UEFA regarding the status of the pitch, the match will be played.”

The reason for the condition of the pitch is the international break with the English national team having played both the USA on November 15th and Croatia on November 18th and the fact that those games were preceded by the NFL Football challenge in October.

In conclusion the Gazzetta reports that: “The main problems are mud plates and the bumps that have formed. The ball does not always move in a regular way and in some areas of the pitch irregularities can create problems for the safety of the players.”
