In an interview with RAI Sport, Inter midfielder Borja Valero had the following to say when he analyzed the tough 1-0 loss against Tottenham which means that Inter are no longer the masters of their own destiny in the Champions League.

Were Inter a bit scared?

“No, no fear. They needed to win at all costs and they took the pitch with all the strengths that they had. We had them under control during the first half, then in the second half we still performed well, but they managed to score that important first goal.”

Now they will play an already qualified Barcelona. What kind of match do you think we can expect to see the Spanish side play?

“It is true that Barcelona is already qualified, but I am sure of them acting like professionals, aiming to win every game of this competition. We on the other hand must focus on beating PSV, a game that will be very tough.”

Any message to the fans?

“At the time of the draw, no one believed we would make it to the end, instead we are here with one match to go. And that is thanks to the fans, who also were here supporting us.”
