Italian TV personality Alessandro Cattelan, who is a known Inter fan, believes Inter can make it in to the Champions League round of 16 despite their defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night.
Inter’s loss meant that they no longer have complete control of their Champions League fate going in to the final game but they can perhaps take confidence from the fact that they face PSV at home while Spurs face a trip to Barcelona.
“I am confident as it will not be easy for Tottenham Hotspur to go and win against Barcelona. We hope it does not happen but we need to try to do our thing,” he stressed in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport.
He also recalled the first meeting between Inter and Spurs in the group that saw Inter clinch a late victory.
“The first leg at San Siro was one of the top five games that I have seen at the stadium myself.”
