Balon d’Or winner Luka Modric has made it crystal clear what his future intentions are and it does not involve a transfer to Inter.

“I still have another two years on my contract with Real Madrid and I hope to end my career with that club. The club continues to show their appreciation of me, my family is happy at Madrid and I want to continue to have fun in this great football club,” he said upon accepting the prestigious award.

The 33-year-old Croatian was heavily linked with a move to Inter during the summer transfer window but Real Madrid held firm and did not allow him to depart the club, who he has represented since 2012.

Recent reports had suggested that Inter could go back in for him in the upcoming January transfer window but his comments would appear to completely kill any chances of those reports coming to fruition.
