Renato Corsi, one of Exequiel Palacios’ agents, has addressed the recent transfer rumours concerning his client.

“We have gotten phone calls from Inter, Roma and Wolfsburg. There are many interested clubs, but the one that is the most interested is Real Madrid,” he said in an interview with Spanish newspaper AS.

“Due to the suspension of the River-Boca game, the two presidents have not been able to talk. Real Madrid has carried on the talks, both with me and my client, and the two clubs were planning to talk about it after the final, but after what went down they did not get the chance.

“We have had the chance to also talk to Barcelona, but nothing came out of that conversation, even Javier Zanetti called me, but since we are at an advanced stage with Real Madrid, nothing happened there as well.”

Corsi concluded by speaking on his client’s disappointment at the venue for the second leg of the Copa Libertadores final being changed.

“As a fan of the River Plate and as a player of the club he wanted to play the final of the Copa Libertadores at the Monumental in Argentina. With the problems surrounding that final he is very keen on playing in the Bernabeu stadium in a beautiful country like Spain. I hope he can play at Real Madrid.”
