Fabio Capello has spoken on Inter and their chances of ending Juventus’ dominance ahead of tomorrow’s Derby D’Italia.

“I know Suning well, I’ve had the privilege of working on one of their projects and I can confidently say that if there is anyone who can challenge the world force that is Juventus, it is Inter,” he said in an interview with La Repubblica.

“It depends. Inter’s is backed by a leader with great economic strength and huge ambition. We are talking about a man with super powers, in a sense. In today’s world, you need this to reach the highest level. The level at which Juventus currently sits.”

Capello proceeded to discuss the importance of the game for Inter.

“If I’m not mistaken, Spalletti does not feel like he is the anti-Juventus, but I think that this will be a very important test, with regards to seeing how good Inter really are. If they play with confidence and on par with Juventus, then we will see their true personality.”

Capello then spoke on the idea of the scudetto being a foregone conclusion even before the season began.

“The reality is, the Championship ended on the day that Juventus announced that they had signed Cristiano Ronaldo. They were already the strongest, but then they added this monster. They have become enormously stronger”.

He concluded by speaking on the notion some hold that Juventus are the best club in Europe.

“It is still too early to claim this. The Champions League depends on the details. But at the moment, yes, Juventus seem to be playing on par with everyone and it seems to have that something extra, that was missing before.”
