Inter Defender de Vrij: “We Were Only Focused On Our Game, Not The One In Barcelona”

Stefan de Vrij was interviewed in the mixed zone after the final whistle of the game against PSV Eindhoven, this is what he had to say about the tough exit from the UEFA Champions League after the 1-1 draw against the Dutch side.

“At the time when they scored and we went behind, there were still a lot of minutes to be played, it was an open match and we managed to equalise, but we did not manage to win the game.

“One victory in the last month? It is impossible to predict football, we are always trying to play our game and to win, and we have done that in every game we have played, but we have also faced strong teams.

“After the equaliser we had opportunities to score, but it was also important not to concede another because then everything would have gotten even more difficult. We were only focused on our game and not on the game in Barcelona.”
