After Inter’s 1-0 win away to Empoli, Inter CEO Beppe Marotta talked to Inter’s in-house television channel Inter TV where he stressed Inter must “continue building on this winning mentality” that they’ve developed.

“We have to give credit to the coach and the team, this victory expresses an objective value, also seen in the standings, although we had that mishap against Chievo. These results are pointing towards a good year next year. The most important aspect is that this group expresses a good qualitative value, but in these types of games the team needs to show a great capacity and motivation.

“We have to continue building on this winning mentality. Today we managed to get the three points, despite a performance that was not perfect. To be able to win points without playing well means that there is room for improvement. But today it was the result that was the most important thing, not the performance. Where we are in the standings is something that calms us down, but we can not slow down. This performance is another passed test, but we must already think about the next opponent preparing us well. I want to thank the fans for their love during this calendar year. Now it is up to us to show that we will accomplish something important during 2019.”
