Real Madrid have not yet offered Croatian midfielder Luka Modric a new deal to stay with the club, according to Spanish newspaper AS.

This news is potentially good news for Inter, as the Nerazzurri have an offer on the table for the Ballon d’Or winner which would see Modric earn €10 million per season, for two years.

After that, the Croatian could go to China.

The Spanish news outlet believes that this could lead Modric to leave Madrid as the club would rather make money off his sale than to let him go for free in June 2020.

Inter have been on a never ending chase to sign Modric for quite some time now, but this may be their best opportunity to strike a deal with Real Madrid.

Modric is currently 33 years old. So far this season, he has played 16 games and has only managed to get 2 assists in that time. He has not scored a goal yet this season.
