What still remains to be solved is the future of Gabriel Barbosa who, should nothing else come up, will return to Appiano Gentile next Monday after being on a loan at Santos. Inter is trying to find a solution where Gabigol exits, either permanently or on a loan deal in Europe, but it will not be easy, Gazzetta dello Sport detail.

Gabigol had 18 goals in 35 appearances in the Brazilian league and have a contract with Inter until 2021 and the last couple of days English Premier League side West Ham has contacted Piero Ausilio. The London club, where Joao Mario was on loan and then came back, seems less eager during the last couple of hours, while Fulham has requested information from Inter. Flamengo can not be forgotten about either as they have expressed their interest for the ex-Santos player.

Having Gabigol stick around is not the preferred solution for Inter, but in this case the will of the player will have some effect. The player himself seems to cope with the idea of remaining in Brazil in order to regain his spot in the Brazilian national team.

Gabigol is valued at around €22 million and Inter wants a permanent transfer. However, Flamengo is going for the loan deal option and in the deal Lincoln and Miranda could also be involved.
